Ecological notes

Saving energy

We can stop overconsumption by consuming ecologically. An alternative to solar energy, which poses the question of energy costs and recycling, consists of diminishing energy consumption.

Jean Philippe Weimer, lighting engineer and creator of garden lights, proposes reducing electric consumption in several ways:

  • install human presence-detectors to switch on functional lighting or clocks for automatic cuts

  • Reduce the number of lighting fixtures

  • install lighting fixtures operating on low voltage

  • Create a network of rapid switching terminals to which two or three lights can be attached according to needs: thus you can light up areas close to the house during dinner before switching these lights further away in the garden or playing boules or lazing around in a hammock.
